Completion certification for ATV training course

Riding ATVs can be exhilarating and a lot fun. It also can be very dangerous if you have never ridden before. Just like driving a car or riding a motorcycle it requires a certain amount of training. Here at Las Vegas ATVs our "ATVs For Beginners" class teaches the rudimentary skills you need to ride safely, and with the confidence when riding these amazing vehicles.

Students practice basic safety techniques with hands-on exercises covering starting and stopping, turning (both gradual and quick), emergency stopping and swerving, and riding over obstacles. Particular emphasis is placed on the safety implications relating to each lesson.

We all have a stake in safe, responsible ATV riding, and land use. Keeping riding areas open requires good relationships between public land managers, private land owners, and others who share the land such as riders, campers and hikers. In most cases, common courtesy and consideration of their interests is all that is necessary to ensure that everyone can enjoy the area.

The class consists of a 30 minute orientation where you learn the basics, such as:

  • Steering and breaking
  • Throttle control
  • Physical Riding (how you shift your body weight when maneuvering)
  • How to start and stop the bike
  • Being aware of your surroundings
  • Riding in different weather conditions and on numerous surfaces
  • Safety procedures and basic common sense rules of riding
